The Permission Slip

A Release of Liability for First-Gen Leaders

Your ancestors didn’t sacrifice so you could be a servant to a title. They sacrificed so you could have the Power of Choice. This document makes that official.

Most first-generation leaders carry an invisible contract — an unspoken obligation to justify their ancestors’ sacrifice through status, titles, and staying in environments that drain them. This tool helps you formally release that contract and plant the seed of your own fruition in its place.

What is the expectation you are carrying for someone else?

Examples: “I have to be a VP to make my dad proud.” / “I must stay in this job to prove I belong here.” / “I can’t walk away — too many people are counting on me.”

What is the “Seed” you want to plant instead?

Examples: “I want to build a mission-driven firm.” / “I want to lead in a way that honors my values.” / “I want my joy to be my fruition.”
